Well, I'm no mathematician, but it's clear that James Cameron's divorce settlements are giving him a -50000000 net 'profit'. If heartbreak was a business, he would be... let's say... not so successful. Language of love, meet the language of subtraction. Having a way with serenading sci-fi enthusiasts but perhaps not the ladies, Cameron made the headlines when his Terminator starlet, Linda Hamilton, said "hasta la vista" and snagged a major slice of his Avatar riches.

In their saga more twisted than the plot of any production Cameron helmed, Linda hit him a divorce that cost him a hefty $50 million! Wow. Titanic may have sunk, but Linda sailed off with a quite a decent treasure chest. Cameron may have seen this coming - no, no he didn’t exactly win this battle even though he’s no stranger to combat from action flicks. Note to self, being a movie mogul doesn’t necessarily give you superpowers to win a divorce settlement.

The legendary Hollywood director might have lost his wallet in the process of legal wrangling, but he continued winning hearts in the film fraternity. However, let's hope he learned not to gambol his marriage agreements test under water lamps (just saying, number 5!). Despite this slight blip, Cameron remains the virtuoso of extraordinary narratives. Who needs $50 million when you've got an underwater alien planet to return to? Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da- life goes on!
